MEN’S AGM

On Tuesday 16th the Men’s AGM took place in the Clubhouse. Michael Ashe, Hon. Sec. gave a comprehensive account of the year’s happenings and noted that all competitions were run off without a hitch. We were fortunate that the weather was favourable throughout the year and that the Committee had all matters under control.

Outgoing Captain Bernard Kennedy stated how proud he was to have led the club through 2010 and what pleased him immensely was the fact that he got wonderful support from the members and the various committees with which he was involved. He was happy to have introduced the Captain’s medal and hopefully this competition will be continued into the future.

He was very happy to introduce Joe Slevin as Captain for 2011 and he felt that Joe would carry on the traditions of the Club in an efficient and professional manner. In thanking Bernard, Joe stressed the wonderful work done by our outgoing Captain and thanked him on behalf of the Club for what he has done. Joe then introduced Seamas Breen as Vice Captain for 2011.

President David McDowell then introduced Tony McTague as President for 2011. He noted that Tony needed no introduction and wished him every success in 2011.
