Heartiest congratulations to our Jimmy Bruen team under manager Albert Kelly on a thrilling win over The Island in Craddockstown at the weekend. The team was: Seamie Breen/Pat Molloy; Fergus Garland/Brendan Hoare; Aaron Murtagh/Tom Hogan; Pat Doyle/John Kelly and Simon Hogan/Enda Carroll. The team has now reached the Leinster  semi-final which will be played in Royal Dublin on Saturday 1st August. They are wished the very best of luck.

Best wishes to Lady Captain Pauline Needham on her up-coming Prize Day. This year the Lady Captain’s Prize Competition will be held over two days. Round One  takes place on Wed. 22nd with the Final Round being played on Sat. 25th.
There is also a 9H competition for anyone unable to play in the main event. This may be played either Wed. or Sat.
Following the competition on Saturday there will be a drinks reception at 6.30pm, dinner at 7pm (sharp) with presentation of prizes and an evening of celebration.

Junior Cup Team

Congratulations to our Junior Cup Team on their decisive win over Tullamore in the semi final on Sunday last in the Heritage. Wonderful performance by all to beat a formidable team from Tullamore. Playing for Birr were Ann Kenny, Vera Smyth, Shauna Carroll, Martina O’Brien and Gemma Butler. Managers were Lady President Agnes and Rita Delaney. Well done to all and best of luck in the up-coming Final.
