We are now seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Member & Guest Services Manager to lead the club’s day-to-day operations and help drive its growth and development.
Role Summary
The Member & Guest Services Manager will be the face and driving force behind the club’s success, acting as an ambassador for Birr Golf Club. The role involves overseeing all administrative, operational, and staffing functions, managing club events, and enhancing the overall visitor and member experience. A key focus will be on increasing visitor numbers, improving service delivery, and ensuring smooth club operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Club Administration: Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the club including membership records, bookings, correspondence, and reporting.
- Event Management: Organise and coordinate club events, competitions, and social functions to a high standard.
- Visitor Engagement: Take ownership of the visitor experience from first contact to follow-up; ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and enjoy an excellent visit.
- Growth & Marketing: Proactively work to increase visitor numbers through local outreach, online presence, and collaboration with tourism or golfing networks.
- IT Systems: Maintain and utilise club management systems efficiently; manage online bookings, communications, and data reporting.
- Flexibility: Be available to work weekends and evenings during peak golfing seasons.
- Club Representation: Represent Birr Golf Club positively in all interactions, becoming a respected and well-liked ambassador for the club.
Candidate Profile
- Friendly and outgoing with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised with a sharp attention to detail
- Experienced in people management and confident leading a small team
- Proficient with IT systems, including email, spreadsheets, and golf management platforms
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering outstanding service
- Flexible and reliable, particularly during the club’s busy season
- Energetic and self-motivated, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a club, hospitality, or events management role
- Knowledge of golf or a strong interest in the game
- Familiarity with golf booking and membership systems (e.g. ClubV1, BRS, etc.)
- Marketing or social media skills a plus
